Fumigation Originally, the fumigation division of Paratex started as a ship supply business on the Seattle waterfront in 1908. The company was soon called upon to place sulfur pots in the holds of ships to eliminate any residual rat populations from foreign ports. We currently maintain a vacuum fumigation chamber at Paratex in our Seattle facilty at 423 S. Horton St. This facility is used for both USDA Quarantine Import requirements and the export requirements to foreign countries. It is also available to the general public for fumigation of antiques with wood beetles, carpets with moths and general household items with infestation. Paratex has years of experience working with USDA, WSDA and various foreign governments to meet import/export requirements of goods and commodities. We can assist with drayage to and from the various piers and transloading when required. We will be happy to assist you find the most cost-effective and timely process to meet your import/export requirements. For more information about scheduling on or off-site fumigation(s), contact Rafael Sanchez, our Fumigation Coordinator at 206-682-3456 or rsanchez@paratex.com 1-800-GOT-BUGS
